Tomorrow sees the return of the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run for its 21st year.
What is the Great Manchester Run 2024?
This year’s event has 30,000 signed up runners ready to take on the iconic 10k and half marathon routes.
Over 100,000 pavement-side supporters will be waiting for the runners who start at Portland Street.
The runners will pass by Manchester landmarks like the Imperial War Museum, Old Trafford and the Etihad Stadium before finishing their respective races at Deansgate.
What are the start times I need to look out for this year?
Here are the start times for the day:
8:15 am: Elite Wheelchair (10K)
8:20 am: Orange Wave Start (Half Marathon)
8:39 am: Green Wave Start (Half Marathon)
11:25 am: Elite Women (10K)
11:40 am: Elite Men (10K)
11:40 am: Fast Paced & Orange Wave (10K)
11:59 am: Red Wave (10K)
12:02 am: Green Wave (10K)
12:45 am: Purple Wave (10K)
13:03 am: Pink Wave (10K)
What is available for me as a spectator?
Besides cheering on the runners, there is plenty to keep you occupied as a supporter.
The Run has different activation zones including Pump it Up near Ashton Old Road and Karaoke Kicks on Trafford Wharf Road.
Head to one of the zones to stay entertained while you wait for the runners to reach your street.
Where can I watch the Great Manchester run?
If you can’t make it, find the live broadcast of the run on BBC One between 11am and 1pm.
